A gift for my son

A few weeks ago, Blurb offered me an early trial of their new Designer Photo Book TemplatesThe last photo book I made (in November) was for my "Beautiful Girl." You can see that one here.

So, of course I took this opportunity to make a photo book for for my "Beautiful Boy." My husband and I have been wanting to give him a photo book since he turned 10 last June, but we never got around to it...until now!

I'm going to sound all promotional, but Blurb's new designer templates really do make it simple to create a lovely book without putting in countless hours. That's big for me, because I can take forever to do a job like this. We were getting ready to head out of town and I was able to put his book together in two hours.

My boy seemed genuinely touched with his surprise gift.

If you have recently taken a fun family trip or want to remember a great birthday party, head over to Blurb and create one of their new designer books using the code DESIGNMYBOOK and receive 20% off your order until March 31, 2013.

  4. My teenagers have recently told me they hate all of their "little kid" pictures, so the three of us put together a photo book of more recent photos. They love it and I love that I can have it out all the time to show people without hearing teenage groans!

    1. That's so great Michelle! I do think they will appreciate seeing the "little kid" pictures when they are older though. :)

  5. How sweet! I know what you mean about taking hours to make something like that. My parents have three large seperate photo albums with photos of my brother, sister, and I. Glad to hear that your son really liked the gift. :)

    1. Thanks! I am uptight about doing these things. That's part of why it takes me so long...finding good pictures and putting them in the right order. I tried to just "let it flow" with this one. ;)

  7. I tried to make a photo book from a vacation we took with good friends a few years ago as a thank you gift but it was too hard to pick pictures..the book would have cost me a small fortune lol. I like how yours turned out though. I must try again :)

  8. I should really try them someday. I tried to make a photobook a few years ago on another site and it was super complicated. I love your end product, though, so I might be inspired to try again!
