It's All Good

Here are some of my thrift store finds from the last two weeks. Last week, my finds fell under a tidy theme, "Think Pink."

This week, not so much. It's all good. My favourite find was this little owl. Not sure what my deal is with owls, but I just love 'em.

A Dream of Happiness

“Each today, well-lived, makes yesterday a dream of happiness and each tomorrow a vision of hope. Look, therefore, to this one day, for it and it alone is life.”
—Sanskrit poem
In other words, break out the good china today, whether it is a “special occasion” or not. Take this opportunity to celebrate the gift of an ordinary day.
Or, in my case, buy some more china, just because it is lovely and definitely not because I need it.
I visited Value Village recently, and came away with these beautiful Johnson Brothers dishes, because I simply couldn’t resist the pretty pink flowers.

I am faced with a new challenge, having just re-worked my china cabinet last week to accommodate the other dishes I recently salvaged from the basement.

I also found this interesting heart-shaped mirror for my daughter’s room.

I think the little Cupids are so sweet.

I also found this sign for my daughter’s bedroom. I knew she would like it. She wants to put it on the door as a message to her older brother.
How about you? Any special finds this week? Or, any plans to celebrate on this lovely, ordinary day?
