Insta-Friday in real life

Can you believe it's almost June? How does that happen? Winter drags and drags and then suddenly it's summer. We have lost any sort of spring weather around here. This year, we went from snow to heat and humidity within a couple of weeks.

Enough complaining. I'm once again sharing a look at the pictures I took this week on my cell phone. First up, this pic I took of my daughter last weekend on dance photo day. I just love this costume she got for tap class. The hat is too cute. The makeup was a little more than I intended, but she WILL NOT keep still, so it's very difficult to do.

Insta-Friday in real life...snow day edition

For those of you in warmer climes, yes, you read correctly...snow day edition. I'll get to that in a second.

Here's an Insta-Friday look at the week using simple cell phone photos. First, a couple pics of what Jolene the beagle mix and I did on Monday.

Insta-Friday in real life...with an Italian wedding celebration

Insta-Friday -- my look back at the week using family cell phone photos. This week, I am showing pictures from last Saturday when we went to a wedding celebration.

My husband's cousin in Italy got married and came to the US and Canada for her honeymoon. Ontario in January? Interesting choice.

Anyway, some relatives of the newlyweds had a party for them. Yes, there were showgirls, but I'll get to that later.

Insta-Friday in real life: office overhaul edition

Now that I'm into the second week of using my new phone, I am not so photo crazy as I was last week.

That also has to do with the fact that we didn't do much for excitement this week.

Nevertheless, here is my Insta-Friday look at my family's week via cell phone pics. You can also follow me on Instagram @ziajojo.

Insta-Friday in real life, basement overhaul week

For those who are new to Insta-Friday, it means sharing simple cell phone photos from your past week and linking them up with Life Rearranged. With our handy cell phone cameras, we take way more pictures than we used to, don't we? Might as well share some.

This week, my daughter (above, right) has been going to dance camp each day with her visiting cousin.

With the little (demanding) one out of the way, I asked my husband to agree to spend two hours each day organizing our basement. Over the whole week, that amounts to 20 man hours...which might seem like a lot...but you haven't seen our basement.

Insta-Friday in real life, simple pleasures

I skipped Insta-Friday last week due to a lack of cell phone photos. This week, I am back to sharing some cell phone highlights from the past week, or couple of weeks in this case.

Insta-Friday in real life

Happy Good Friday everybody!

I hope you have plans to enjoy a long weekend of family, food, fun and friendship.

Here’s a look back at the simple, sweet moments of the week, using only cell phone photos.

My son helped my husband set up our new barbecue. We had the old one for about four or five years, and even when we got it, it was thrown away at the curb by our neighbour. As vegetarians, we don’t prioritize the barbecue much, but we do like veggies and tofu on the barbie, so it was definitely time for a new one.

We had expected warmer weather, but that didn’t happen, so my husband braved the cold anyway.

I took a quick trip out to snap a photo of our veggies and tofu. More about those here.

On Saturday, we turned the lights out for Earth Hour at 8:30 p.m. We spent an hour asking the kids trivia questions while tucked up together on the couch.

My daughter treated us to a little dance performance.

My husband caught the little one using my camera when I left the room.

She has been putting up Easter decorations all over the kitchen.

I am just so thrilled to have light shining through the windows.

How was your week? Have a great long weekend!
