Insta-Friday in Real Life

Time for Insta-Friday once again...simple pics from the week, taken only with a cell phone (or two).

It's Friday! And it's summer! I hope you all have exciting plans for the weekend! Not that I do...but I have exciting plans for next week.

Here's a picture of my son with our Edgefest tickets. My husband and I are taking the boy to his first-ever rock concert. You can see he has his rock face ready. We are looking forward to seeing The Lumineers, Band of Horses, Mother Mother, The Neighbourhood and many others. And, of course, Monster Truck, straight out of our beloved hometown of Hamilton, Ontario. Find out more about those guys here.

There's still time to buy tickets. I hope to see you there! I'll be sure to report back about our Edgefest adventure. I even have a photo pass, so I can give you a peek backstage.

This little gal isn't coming with us. She was initially angry with me, but now she is happy she's going to be hanging out with her cousins. I really don't think she can handle an all-day concert outside.

I'm also busy working on an eco-friendly back to school guide that I'll be posting here in August. I'm always on the hunt for products that are friendly for the earth and our children, and I'm excited about sharing some of these innovative products with you.

We have been trying our best to keep the kids busy this week. We headed out to play a game of glow-in-the-dark mini golf earlier this week. We all really enjoyed it. The boys were highly competitive. Dad won in the end, beating the boy by 1 point!

Do you have any exciting events coming up?

If you are in the Toronto area and are free on Wednesday, July 31st, be sure to enter my giveaway for tickets to the Smirnoff Sorbet Light Launch Party.

Have a great weekend!

    1. I hope he likes the show...and doesn't get too tired. ;)

Thanks! We have a few movie posters up in the basement because we love movies so much. Of course, we had to include a John Hughes movie! I am a child of the eighties after all. :)

  4. WOOT EDGEFEST & what a great way to introduce your son to festival-esque concerts!! Can not wait to hear {& see} the festivities!!

I am also looking forward to the eco-friendly back-to-school. It really surprises me that everything isn't eco-friendly now-a-days given the demand for it.

    1. I hope he has a good time. My niece is now coming with us, so that will help!

I love the eco-friendly stuff that's available now! So cool. I think the lunchbags and backpacks and stuff are making a lot of progress towards eco-friendly, but there is still work to be done when it comes to the conventional companies, for sure.
