Too Many Treasures

Recently, I joined Value Village’s savings club. This entitled me to a 25% off coupon for my next purchase.

Today, I picked up my club card and my coupon, and did a little bit of browsing.

And, we all know that browsing leads to…well, buying.

I found an assortment of secondhand treasures, from baskets to table art.

I did use some restraint though. I put back a little soapstone owl, as much as I wanted her, because I already have a similar one.

Still, I am not quite sure where I am going to house all these treasures!

I got this little piece of pottery in the vase section for about 75 cents. It was made in Canada.

This lovely Inuit soapstone sculpture of mama and baby was also made in Canada, by Nipigon Studios.

This artsy wood vase was made in Jamaica.

I plan to use this “Canadiana Classics” wood tray to bring condiments and/or cutlery outside for dinners on the deck. Anybody have other ideas for it?

In keeping with the outdoor eating theme, I got this lovely little picnic basket. It just begs for a pretty gingham tablecloth and a nice bottle of wine, doesn’t it?

I also love this basket and its ceramic handles. It seems to me it would make a suitable serving tray. What do you think?

Anybody else have too many treasures? I think I already know the answer to that, but I would love to hear from you!

  2. I love the soapstone piece, too! Beautiful. I have been on the lookout for a wicker picnic basket, preferably vintage. No luck so far, but I really like the one you found! Have a great week! ~Heather

  14. Yes, you are not the only one with too many treasures! I've got space issues in a small house so it's imperative to exercise restraint, but it's never easy. Your finds are all excellent ones for sure.
