Gifts for Girls: MAPLELEA DOLLS AND CLOTHING

CANADIAN DOLLS & ACCESSORIES

Maplelea Girls

My daughter loves to retrieve the mail and she often wishes that more of it was for her. While I tell her that my mail is mainly bills, she is not deterred. So, she is thrilled to bits whenever her Maplelea catalogue arrives. She pours over the pictures of the adorable dolls and their fashionable clothing for a very long time!

That's why I'm 100% positive she is going to be thrilled to get these stylish, winter-ready outfits for her dolls Brianne and Alexi this Christmas. The Maplelea Girls, otherwise known as Canadian Girl dolls, are a collection of premium play dolls, each representing a different city or town in Canada.

Our Alexi (above, right) is a Toronto gal, while Brianne is from Manitoba farm country. How cute are they dressed up in their patriotic winter outfits? Brianne is wearing the Maple Cabin Lodge set, which includes a knitted sweater, quilted vest, knitted scarf, trapper hat and knitted maple leaf mittens. Alexi is wearing the Maple Cabin Parka set, including a "Canadian red" winter parka and ski-style pants. She is also wearing a pair of fluffy white Maple Cabin Boots with pom poms. I wish they came in my size! Both outfits and the boots come with collectible journal pages that pay tribute to Canada's national parks.

The Maplelea Girls dolls were created by Canadian company Avonlea Traditions. The company aims to promote creative play, active lifestyles and a knowledge of and pride in our country. Be sure to sign up for a free catalogue for your daughter!

  1. I used to have a lovely doll that I can't seep without when I was a kid. This sure reminds me of my childhood.

  2. When my daughter was in elementary school, she absolutely adored these dolls. And she had the same obsession with the catalogue. Those winter outfits are so adorable. I mean, what is more Canadian than a red parka? Or pom-pom boots? My daughter used to ask for a new outfit or two for her doll every Christmas, and I miss that! Have fun with your little girl! Those days of dolls are so precious!
