Products We Love - Clean, Healthy Snacks from SimplyProtein (Giveaway - CLOSED)

I'm the kind of person who is always hungry. I don't understand people who can go hours without food. I once had to fast for a medical procedure for a full day - I became a weak, shaky and disheartened mess. In order to ensure that I'm prepared when hunger hits - maybe while I'm watching a dance competition or driving to visit my parents, I always have a snack item or two (or three or four) in my purse. Plus a couple more for my daughter (another always-hungry type).

Very often I carry SimplyProtein Bars. These clean and healthy snack bars have lots to recommend them - they have more protein for less calories and fat when compared with other leading natural foods bars. They don't contain any junk ingredients. They are filling without feeling heavy. And they make a great snack/protein source for just about anybody, including vegans, dieters, diabetics, celiacs and athletes. They are said to satisfy hunger for over three hours. And they contain more fibre than sugar.

The SimplyProtein® Bar is:
  • Gluten Free
  • Low Sugar
  • Low Glycemic
  • High In Iron
  • Vegan/Vegetarian
  • Kosher
  • Non GMO Project verified
My favourite flavours are peanut butter chocolate and cocoa raspberry.

SimplyProtein Chips

I also keep a pack or two of SimplyProtein Chips in my purse (hence the need for a large purse!). My 10-year-old daughter loves these chips. I'm thankful for that, because these chips are a snack option that I don't have to worry about. Knowing that sugary snacks are addictive, Wellness Foods created savoury, crunchy chips that are low glycemic and help to balance blood sugar levels. They are very filling. In fact, I ate a package at my son's last basketball game, having not eaten any lunch. The chips kept me satisfied until dinnertime.

SimplyProtein Chips are high in iron and protein (from non-GMO pea protein). They are also vegan, gluten free, soy free, Kosher and baked rather than fried. You can choose from BBQ tomato, spicy chili, salt and cracked pepper or herb. The spicy chili has a pleasant kick, just right for this particular gal. (I don't like anything very hot.) My daughter and I both enjoy the BBQ tomato and the herb as well. (We haven't tried the salt and cracked pepper.)

SimplyProtein Nut&Fruit Bars

The newest bars from Wellness Foods, SimplyProtein Nut&Fruit bars are crunchy snacks that satisfy your cravings with a combo of fruits, nuts and pea protein. They are low in sugar and free of artificial ingredients. In fact, they have one third of the sugar and twice the fibre when compared to leading nut and fruit bars. They are also gluten free, vegan, soy free, high in iron and low glycemic. And they come in delicious flavour combinations - almond cherry, peanut butter strawberry and apricot almond!

SimplyVeggie Savoury Bars

For a savoury and filling treat on the run, SimplyVeggie Savoury Bars have 5g of fibre and only 4g of sugar. There is plant-based beet fibre in every bar to keep you satisfied for a long time. These bars fight addictive sugar cravings and fill you up with a full serving of veggies. There are no preservatives or additives and no sugar added. Plus they are gluten free, vegan and Kosher. SimplyVeggie Savoury Bars are available in smoky BBQ peppers and sesame chives.

About Wellness Foods

Wellness Foods is a small, Canadian, female-owned and managed company. It was started by Cathy Richards, who was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at age 12. Cathy struggled to find a filling, nutritious snack that didn't bother her stomach. She first created the Simply Bar and now offers a range of low-sugar snacks for busy people looking for healthy snack options. All SimplyProtein® products are high protein, low sugar, gluten free and contain no artificial sugars.
