This vintage wooden cheese board with a plastic lid is another little goodie I picked up at my parents' house on Thanksgiving weekend. Also on that weekend, I went for a little stroll down the road and collected a few pine cones and acorns that had dropped into the grass next to a cute little cottage that was all shut tight for the winter.
Back at home, I was faced with the dilemma of how to incorporate more "stuff" into my collection. Where would I display the natural wonders I had collected? And what would I use the cheese board for (seeing as I don't eat cheese)? That's when I decided to pair the two up to create this casual fall display. I like the warmth of it, given that the weather is beginning to turn chilly. The acorns also serve to cover up the crack that runs across the cheese board. Apparently somebody once glued it back together.
