Around Here

We are keeping as busy as possible this summer. These are some photos from our first days of vacation. We launched the summer with a gleeful homework burning party for my two kids and their cousin. A great way to let loose and welcome carefree days. We have been sticking around home these past two weeks while the kids have swimming lessons, but we are looking forward to a few beach visits and a trip to New York soon.

How's the summer treating you? Any fun plans?

  1. LOVE the 5th picture, the one of your daughter. Just beautiful! I'm envious of all the beach in your summer!

  2. Yay New York trip! One of my favorite places to visit, from Albany to Manhattan-- where are you headed? Love the idea of homework burning-- may have to borrow that one!

    1. We will be driving, so from Buffalo to Manhattan, with a stop at Farm Sanctuary in Watkins Glen.

You should definitely do the homework burning - for yourself and hubby! It's a fun start to the summer. It's a great way of getting rid of excess papers too. In previous years we let them hang around until they became permanent fixtures in the basement.

  5. Thanks. I always love a good checklist Karen. I wish I were more spontaneous but I have a great fear of not bringing all that we need on an outing! I'm a definite over-packer!
