Insta-Friday in real life

Happy Friday! I hope you have plans for a fun-filled weekend. For me, all that takes is a bit of sushi. Yep, we're getting sushi tonight, and I am happy not to be cooking.

How's the weather where you're at? We have mounds and mounds of snow that apparently will be covered with freezing rain tonight. So we are going to cuddle in and stay warm. The husband and I have been catching up on episodes of Homeland. We just started a week ago and we are done season one already - so addictive! I can't help but love a great show that centres on a female character too.

I haven't done an Insta-Friday (cell phone pic) post for ages, but my husband and I just switched over to new cell phones, and I was retrieving the photos off his old phone recently. I came across these photos of my kids and their cousins taken at Christmastime.

The whole group of eight cousins (on my husband's side) aren't together all that often and they just love it when they do have a chance to get together. Four boys and four girls means (almost) perfect unity. They are growing so quickly and I really enjoy seeing the people they are becoming. They are such kind and respectful children/teens. They are pretty darn cute too! I'm so proud of them all.

Here are the boys just doing what boys do (on New Year's Eve). By the way, the plaid wasn't planned! At least I don't think it was. Have a wonderful weekend. Stay warm.

What are your plans for the weekend?

    1. My husband thanks you. (We always compete over who takes better pics.)

I love plaid shirts too, I confess, and I wore a few myself in the nineties. ;)

      Have a wonderful weekend Linda!

  2. Great pics! Looks like a lot of fun and so many wonderful memories being made. It is rainy and slushy so we are staying in and catching up on shows as well.
    Enjoy the week-end!

    1. Thanks Pia. Yes, I think they will have fond memories of growing up with their cousins.

We had to be up early for basketball today, but mainly stayed indoors after too (except for one very wet episode of sledding). Enjoy the shows. Have a great weekend!

    1. Thanks Heather. It's the ice that's really driving us crazy. It's hard to even walk anywhere. Jolene is not pleased. ;)

You should definitely borrow the DVD - it is quite addictive!

    1. We are almost through the second season now. Very exciting. I'm glad you like the third season. Opinions about TV shows and movies are so personal, aren't they? I think you have to watch for yourself to know.

A wee bit of snow is good...a very wee bit! ;)
