The Weekend

This weekend was soccer-free and, as such, a great time to visit family members. We started on Friday with a visit to my parents at the cottage.

Here's the World War II airplane that rests outside the nearby Dunnville Public Library. I have to say the little head inside freaks me out just a bit. We always attend the library's annual summer book sale with my mom. Here's what I bought.

Then it was back to the cottage to hang out on the beach. We bought this quick pop-up tent for soccer games, but it's perfect for the beach (for those with sun-phobia, like pale-skinned, freckled me).

The kids love to dig for clay and make clay creations. I just wish clay would wash out of swim suits.

On Saturday, we moved on to my sister's house. The kids had swimming lessons last week, and they enjoyed practicing their lessons in my sister's pool.

All in all, a busy but nice summer weekend.

How did you spend your weekend?

  5. Looks like you had fun! I love the idea of a pop-up tent at the beach. I can burn in literally five minutes...not that that stops me from going. :)

  6. Ah the beach. Sigh. I do miss that-- not many beaches 'round here {though we do have a lake beach thing that is utterly mobbed this time of year}. What a lovely weekend adventure!!
