Popcorn Party

We had our own little family popcorn party recently, and it reminded me of this great gift I got from my sister last year at Christmas. If you are looking for something to give to a family, this is it!

She got us this Nostalgia popcorn maker, a couple of plastic popcorn buckets and a bunch of cardboard popcorn boxes. Add to that some popcorn kernels (hopefully organic -- GMO corn freaks me out), and you are set for your own popcorn party. I melted some vegan margarine on the stove and poured it on. Plus a little salt on top. Yummy!

The kids love having their own individual boxes.

This is his sarcastic smile. He doesn't like to model.

This one, on the other hand, asked me to take more pictures of her.

How is your Christmas shopping coming along?

  1. I like popcorn sprinkled with nutritional yeast :) Christmas shopping is all done here, except my son (the non-believer-of-Santa Claus) said he'd prove Santa does or doesn't exist by writing him a letter asking for a specific Lego set and if he doesn't get it, then it's proof Santa doesn't exist. Hmmm...

    1. Nutritional yeast is a great idea! I'm impressed you're done your shopping too! Smart boy, your son. You basically have to get him that set, don't you?

  2. popcorn parties were my favourite as a kid! I like the idea of individual boxes too, less squabbling over the last bits, perhaps? My husband makes the best stovetop popcorn, with earth balance and nutritional yeast for me and real butter for him...

  7. I love popcorn!!! You just reminded me that I need to go and get a package of kernels. I like a little sea salt on my popcorn. I LOVE it with butter but since I am vegan now that is all in the past. I make popcorn in a pan but I like the idea of having a popcorn maker machine.

  9. Christmas shopping? Neeeeearrrly there. Gotta get in a few more online orders, then I'll be set. You?

We had one of those popcorn makers in the early 80's. I loved having some while we'd watch movies on HBO, back before we had a VCR!

    1. Congrats on being almost done your shopping! I have a bit of a ways to go, unfortunately.

Before the VCR...so funny how fast technology has come in such a short time!

  10. Love this company and looking forward to ordering more from here. Do you have Popcorn Party Boxes? Where should you purchase these packing boxes? Earlier than investing the money, you need to find the best packing company. Why? It is because they always use eco-friendly and biodegradable packing materials to make your orders.
