Picture this

Today was Value Village’s ½ price clothing day.

This is what I came home with:

No self-control here, but hey, I got wardrobe additions for my entire family (except the dog).

The sad truth is, I was there for over three hours.

So, I am writing a quick post now about the things I found at Value Village last Thursday when I used up my 30% off card.

You might recall that, on Friday, I showed you our visit to the store and the items I chose not to buy.

I did in fact buy a mishmash of stuff, including these sweet measuring pitchers, above. I am excited to use these next time I bake. Probably tomorrow.

I seem to have been focused on pictures that day for some reason. Among the frames that I selected (including a large, empty frame) was this little picture by Edvard Munch.

I also picked out this little image of Van Gogh’s The Starry Night. It's really the framing that attracted me to it.

I will enjoy serving food on this small tray, which features an image by Currier and Ives.

I also bought this little apron, modelled by my daughter here.
I bought some outdoor folding chairs that my husband called, and I quote, “hideous.” Note: I have added a photo of the chairs HERE.
Perhaps I will show you soon and you can see if you agree. I won’t be offended. After all, I bought them anyway! I’m pretty stubborn that way.

  2. Love all your finds {as per usual}-- particularly the Munch {not one of his better known works, but so sweet & lovely which is not generally something one thinks of when one thinks of Munch lol}

    1. They refresh the racks a few times during the day! I can't get to it all. ;) Seriously though, sorry you are feeling ill, especially when it is finally warm around here. Feel better soon!

  8. Your kiddo looks a-dorable! Sweet finds!!! Love the paintings and the measuring cups! Please post the chairs - I picked up a folding chair from a garage sale because it reminded me of my uncle - it's tacky but I love it! :)

There is nothing wrong with spending 3 hours thrifting, lol... I do it all of the time.

    1. Okay, I will take a picture of the chairs after I get my husband to unfold them. ;) They are stuck! He will feel good about that since he didn't want to buy them. Okay, I don't feel so bad about the thrifting. Thanks!

    1. I wish I had more restraint, like you! I bought four pairs of jeans, tops, a hoodie, three purses. Thanks for hosting the party once again!

    1. That's so true. By the time I get home, I can't even remember all I got. At the store, I'm too excited, whipping things into the cart! :)

  11. Okay so this is totally bizarre. Here I am, on the other side of the world and I have quite a few of the same things as you, and I'm vegan as well and I'm addicted to vintage/thrift/op shopping. AND I had those exact same little measuring jugs but I gave them to the op shop (second hand/thrift store) because I got ruthless with getting rid of stuff. I had three of the measuring jugs. And looking at your stuff is like looking at my own stuff. I'm halfway doing crazy-reading through your blog and wondering what other stuff you have, that I have! I had some blog entries planned for my op shop finds but ah, I bought so much that it's a pain to take everything out to photograph.

    1. That is funny! I admire your strength in giving up lots of stuff. I'm not there yet! ;) I would love to see some of the stuff you have found and kept (and whether I own copies as well). Maybe WE look alike too? ;)
